The Heartbeat of Life Church is to be...

1.     A HUMBLE CHURCH

Where Jesus is the only superstar.

Realizing it's not all about us.

Returning to a serving mentality.

The greatest among you will be your servant? The first will be last and the last will be first. (Mt 23:11 & Mk 9:35)

2.     A Holy Church

Not legalism where you try to earn the right to be a Christian but growing in our relationship with and love for God so that we become like him in our attitude and action.

We should “add to our faith” Godly character. (2 Pet. 1:5)

If we love Him we will keep his commands. (Jn 14:15)

3.     A Family Church

We want to teach and train men and women the biblical principles of marriage and parenting.

Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children. (Titus 2:2-4)

We want to see children carrying on the Godly Heritage of their parents.

I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. (2 Tim 1:5)

We want to implant a heart for the family into people.

He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers... (Mal 4:6)

We want to see the Healing of broken families.

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to bind up the brokenhearted. (Isa 61:1 & 2)

4.     A Spirit Filled Church

Fulfilling the great commission with the power of God's Holy Spirit.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

Flowing in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the instructions given in First Corinthians Chapter 14.

5.     A Soul-Winning Church

The Holy Spirit empowers us to be soul winners.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

Reach out to the hungry, homeless, and hopeless and meet their physical needs as well as their spiritual needs.

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (James 2:15 - 17)

Be a church with a multitude of ministries to reach a multitude of people.

I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. (1 Cor 9:23)

6.     A Disciple Making Church

Using the biblical model of mentoring young Christians.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."  (Mat 28:19 & 20)

Using the biblical model of small group ministry.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:46 & 47)

We want to see every member of the body DOING what they are called to do.

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. (Eph 4:11 & 12)

Helping believers discover and utilize their giftings.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. (Rom 12:6)

7.     A Praying Church

A Church where prayer is the driving force behind everything we say and do.

And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: "'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations' ? But you have made it 'a den of robbers.'" (Mark 11:17)

8.     A Praising Church

Like David, we want to be a church that praises God with EVERYTHING that is within us! (Ps. 103:1)

9.     A Planting Church

Sowing our time, talent and treasure in order to reap a harvest of souls.

Planting other churches.

Funding missionaries.
